Class projects: Chicka Chicka Boom Boom By Bill Martin, Jr. & John Archambault Illustrated by Lois Ehlert We are spending September focusing on the alphabet and we are using one of our favorite books, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom , to help us. We will also incorporate math skills such as patterning, counting and numbers within the Chicka Chicka theme. Students will create their own books and learning activities to bring home and share. |

Future plansOpen House will be Tuesday, Sept. 9th. I look forward to seeing you.We will celebrate Johnny Appleseed Day on Friday, Sept. 26th. We will ask you to send in a metal cooking pot for your child to wear on his/her head and 2 apples.We will make many books this year and I encourage you to read them with your child and create a library by your favorite author (your child). This will increase their interest in reading and will have a lifetime payoff. |
